About Us
Jervis Bay Stand Up Paddle
Come and find out why stand up paddling is one of the fastest growing sports in the country
Challenging – yet remarkably easy
It looks so hard yet this sport is remarkably easy on flat water, particularly if you are shown the correct techniques and are on the right board. We are confident that all of our clients will be successfully stand up paddling by the end of their first lesson.
Scenic
Touring along in the standing position affords the paddler a much better view into the water. As well as a huge array of fish species, you are likely to see dolphins, stingrays, eagle rays, penguins and a myriad of bird species. There has even been the occasional seal!
A Full Body Workout
This sport works every single muscle in your body the whole time you are balancing on the board and yet you don’t feel like you are doing anything at all. As a bonus the paddling motion builds core strength and which helps stabilise the back muscles.
Jervis Bay Stand Up Paddle offers quality instruction in an encouraging and supportive environment. We have a fleet of quality boards and offer lessons, tours and equipment hire.
All of our instructors are qualified with the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI). We are an ASI Accredited school and abide by the high international standards for Stand Up Paddle school operations.

Participants are asked to arrive at the designated meeting point fifteen (15) minutes prior to official start time to allow for paperwork and distribution of equipment. This will maximise your time in the water.
Weather
Lessons & tours go ahead rain, hail or shine. Some of our best dolphin experiences have occurred on overcast and rainy days! Refunds will be provided however if the session has to be cancelled due to strong winds, severe storms or lightning.
Standard Lesson & Tour Package – duration approx 90 minutes.
Clients meet at the designated launch point, complete necessary paperwork and are allocated equipment. The lesson begins on the shore with a short induction and safety overview followed by instruction on how to mount, dismount, paddle, turn, stop etc. These skills are then put into practice on the water until all clients are proficient and comfortable. A tour is then conducted as a round trip anywhere between 1.5 – 3km based on client confidence, available time and conditions on the day.
